Cahoots Theatre
A playwright unit consisting of 5–8 emerging to established playwrights, with works in progress and proposals that reflect the mandate of the company. Acceptance into the unit is by invitation only and at the discretion of the Artistic Director.

The Banff Centre for the Arts: Wired Writing Studio 2006 – 2007
A program for emerging writers to pursue their artistic visions and develop their voices through one-on-one editorial assistance from experienced writers/editors. Worked with Marilyn Dumont as mentor to complete a series of poems.
Recipient of the Dr. William A. Cochrane Scholarship.

Borderless, International Poet in Residence 2007
A virtual residency program for young poets who have been censored, marginalized or exiled from their geographical homes. An international jury assesses applications on literary merit. Ten of Belathar’s poems were published on for a period of two months (April-June).

Exile-Writer-in-Residence 2006
University of Windsor
A six-month appointment, under the auspices of the Canada Council for the Arts. Responsible for public readings, lectures, and manuscript consultation.

Gibraltar Point International Artists Residency Program  2005
A 30-day interdisciplinary residency program. Completed various literary projects, and collaborated with Elizabeth Langley and Walter van Broekhuizen.
